Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning (Part One), whose leading man is Tom Cruise, suffered a drop in box office collections in India. The film performed well over the weekend, registering double-digit figures. However it earned only ₹5 crore on Monday. The plot of the movie is how Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt and his IMF team show how they take down The Entity, an artificial intelligence force which becomes powerful and rogue. This spy action film directed by Christopher McQuarrie.
According to early estimates, Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One scored nett ₹5 crore for all languages on its 6th day of release, that means after 30 days the total earnings reach ₹68.50 crore. As per reports, the first day saw the film rake ₹12.3 crore.
The weekend saw it earning ₹33.3 crore (₹16 crore stamped Saturday and ₹17.3 crore on Sunday). In the US and Canada, during its debut weekend, the film had made $54.7 million according to studios projections. International sales reached $155 million.
Despite the dip, the film garnered positive reviews, with critic and audience scores at 96% and 94%, respectively, on Rotten Tomatoes. Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One is one of the most-anticipated films of the year in the theater industry.
