It is common in the film world for a story written for one hero being made as a film with another hero due to scheduling conflicts, ego clashes, market considereatoins and above all destiny. Indiaglitz presents you the list of movies which one superstar missed but became a hit with another star. We have a few surprises Check them up. 'Sivantha Mann'
Director's like Shankar who are a big fan of Sridhar believe that this action film is on par with any modern movie in the genre and the first choice was MGR who suggested to the director that since the film was laden with emotions Sivaji would be the better choice and the rest as they say is History.
'Enthiran'
Shankar started Robot' with Kamal Haasan in the lead and the stylish first look posters of the film created a huge sensation at that time. Kamal would definitely have added his touch to the character and taken it to a different level but years later Rajinikanth gave us the unforgettable Chitti who is one of the best robot characters ever created on screen.
'Nandha'
Ajith was Bala's first choice for this emotional film and even a poster featuring the then Ultimate Star came out but as fate it would have it Thala was unable to do the project and it fell on Suirya's lap who grabbed the opportunity in both hands and used it as the launch pad to break into the big league.
'Madras'
The first choice for director Ranjith to portray his North Madras hero Kaali was actor Jiiva who the director felt would do justice because of his proficiency in Chennai Tamil. Madras' proved to be the film with which Karthi made a comeback after back to back flops.
'Purampokku Engira Podhuvudamai'
Director S.P.Jananathan wanted to bring together his Iyarkkai' hero Shaam, E' hero Jiiva and Peraanmai' hero Jayam Ravi and the entire pre-production was done with these three committed. But just when shooting was about to begin first Jiiva and then Jayam Ravi opted out of teh project and were replaced by Vijay Sethupathi and Arya respectively who both got appreciated for their performances.
'Papanasam'
As soon as Drishyam' released and became a super duper hit the director Jeethu Joseph wanted it to be remade in Tamil with Rajinikanth and it almost got confirmed but for some reason didn't work out and went to Kamal Haasan.
'Mugamoodi'
After impressing everyone with Anjathey' director Myshkin met Suriya and narrated Mugamoodi' story to him and it was reported widely in the media about various development discussions between the superstar and the director but then creative differences cropped up and the film was made with Jiiva and was a resounding flop.
'I'
Director Shankar planned to the film with Kamal Haasan for Aascar Films but things didn't work out after initial round of talks and Vikram came into the picture and won critical acclaim for his performance and also enjoyed the biggest hit in his career.
'Raja Rani'
Director Atlee planned to do Raja Rani' as a small film with his long time Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role who was just breaking into the big screen. The producers who liked the story wanted to make it big and so Arya, Nayanthara and Jai were brought in and the film was such a big hit that Atlee is directing Vijay 59' now.
'Naanum Rowdydhaan'
Vignesh Shivan's first choice hero for this film was Anirudh but since he was not interested in an acting career then started this project with Gautham Karthick and Lavanya Tripathi in the lead roles under Gautham Vasudev Menon's production. But due to some unknown reasons the project shifted to Dhanush camp and the lead pair were replaced by Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara.
