What is a beauty pageant without bikinis and size zero models? No, no. The next edition of Miss Amercia pagent will have no swimsuit portions, so it’s bye bye to bikinis. The organisers have taken the decision to include more women of all sizes and shapes.

So, it will be no more a pageant, but only a competition. “We will no longer judge our candidates based on their outward physical appearance. That’s huge,” Gretchen Carlson, the chairwoman of Miss America revealed.

The official Miss Amercia social page also posted a video of a bikini vanishing in a a puff of smoke to reveal #byebyebikini. So what’s in place of swimsuit contest? The contestant will have to explain on her goals, ambitions and how she will use her talents and passion to perform her job as a Miss America.
