Looks like the director bug has bitten 'Mirchi' Shiva, the RJ-turned-actor. The 'Thamizh Padam' hero is planning to direct a film besides playing the lead role in it, and buzz is that it is going to be a super hero subject.

If reports are to be believed, the script (penned by Shiva himself) will be set in the backdrop of predictions in Mayan calendar, which suggest that the world would see its end next year, that is, 2012.

'How a superhero determines to save the world and achieves his mission is the crux of the story. Everything will be told in a hilarious way, since Shiva knows that comedy is his biggest strength,' say sources.

'Shiva is also playing the lead role in 'Sivapoojaiyil Karadi', a comedy caper directed by veteran Ramanarayanan."The film's shoot hit a temporary roadblock due to some unavoidable reasons and it would be on track soon," sources add.
