’Tamil Padam 2.0′ starts by taking a dig at Kamal Haasan

The laugh riot Tamil Padam’ a spoof of Kollywood movies went on to become a huge hit even pipping Thala Ajith’s ‘Asal’ at the box office in 2010.  Mirchi Shiva and director C.S. Amudhan are joining hands again after seven years for the sequel titled ‘Tamil Padam 2.0’.

On Saturday the 23^rd of September, producer of ‘Tamil Padam 2.0’ YNot Studios Sashikanth had posted a picture of Amudhan and Shiva in serious discussion and in jest had posed a  question “What are they discussing?  With the options 1. TN political situation, 2. Kurosowa, 3. North Korean threat and 4. Kara sev/Pickle.”

C.S. Amudhan in his own humorous style has replied “It was just a courtesy meeting but I’m willing to join hands with anybody who opposes corruption & communal forces.”.  This is an obvious reference to Kamal’s answer to journos regarding his meetings with Kerala and Delhi Chief Ministers.  Later on the director has added “OK, I will tell you. We were discussing when to reveal when we will reveal the photoshoot date for the first look of the first teaser”.

 Looks like the spooffest has begun by first taking a dig at the politician in waiting and we sure can expect it to be a no holds barred screenplay filled with contemporary Kollywood situations on and off screen.
