The movie has over 40 visually impaired kids coming together from Andhra Pradesh and working on this project. Their fortitude clearly demonstrated in the movie. The movie has other star cast in the form of Suhasini Maniratnam, Ashish Vidyarthi and Raghuvir Yadav. The movie was highly acclaimed by the likes of Megastar Chiranjeevi, Director Dasari Narayana Rao, Tammareddy Bharadwaja, Sekhar kammula, and CPI Narayana among others.

Minugurulu received international awards such as Best Indian Film at the 9th India International Children's Film Festival, official selection in Golden elephant and is being showcased in several film festivals.

Director Ayodhya Kumar mentioned he is releasing the movie in the US in July 2nd and 3rd weeks and requested each and everyone to support meaningful Telugu cinema. He requests audience to watch Minugurulu in USA theatres.
