On Thursday evening, a 16-year-old girl from Sangareddy in Hyderabad alleged that four men took her to in a car and sexually assaulted her. She and her parents lodged a complaint of rape with the police. Soon after, the police sent the girl to a government hospital for medical examination.
The medical report didn't establish that the girl was raped. When the police asked the girl about the result of the report, she denied that she was raped. The girl reportedly said that the four men did try to rape her. However, they ran away after noticing passers-by on the road.
The four men, who are yet to be identified at the time of writing this report, are reportedly on the run. Cases under relevant IPC sections and POCSO Act's clauses have been filed against them.
