Minnal Murali director to reunite with Guru Somasundaram, details inside!

Ever since the release of the super-hit Tovino Thomas starrer film ‘Minnal Murali’, there has been a huge fan-following for actor Guru Somasundaram, who played a baddie in the movie. While the Kerala movie-buffs are eagerly waiting for the actor's next, the latest that we hear is Guru Somasundaram is once again teaming up with the Minnal Murali director Basil Joseph. But this time, both the actors will be sharing screen space for an upcoming film titled ‘KAPP’. Recently, the movie's lead actress Namitha Pramod took her official Instagram handle to announce the upcoming movie ‘KAPP’ that is written and directed by Sanju V Samuel. Sharing the title poster of the movie, Namitha penned a note that read, “Extremely happy to announce my next with the extraordinary team ‘KAPP’. Keep us in your prayers.”

Sanju, who has worked as an assistant director in Om Shanti Oshana, Amar Akbar Antony and Oru Second Class Yatra, revealed in a recent interview that the movie will revolve around a badminton player who hopes to play on the national level. The upcoming movie will also see Anand Roshan, and Riya Shibu playing major roles in the film. The movie ‘Thanneer Mathan Dinangal’ fame Mathew Thomas will be also essaying a pivotal role in the film. Nikhil S Praveen will helm the cinematography of the film that has its screenplay written by Akhilesh Latharaj and Denson Durom. The editing section of ‘KAPP’ will be handled by Reckson Joseph. The movie will go on floors on February 7 in Adimali.

On the other side, Basil Joseph is basking in the success of his last directorial Minnal Murali. HE also has a handful of movies geared up for release including ‘Jack N Jill’, ‘Ullasam’ and ‘Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey’, in which he will be essaying playing pivotal roles. Meanwhile, Guru Somasundaram is certainly going places by playing major roles in upcoming films such as Shankar’s much hyped Kollywood flick ‘Indian 2’, and ‘Idhu Vedhalam Sollum Kadhai’.
