Minister fails to read speech, Collector comes to rescue

Imarti Devi, Congress minister in Madhya Pradesh, today embarrassed herself and the Kamal Nath government. She began to give her Republic Day speech in Gwalior, only to fumble to read the Hindi lines after reading a few initial lines. She suddenly asked the District Collector, Bharat Yadav, to read the rest of the speech and excused herself.
As soon as she gave up and said that the Collector will continue her speech, some members in the fathering could be seen laughing. Devi herself took everything lightly and blushed.
Later, the Minister explained away her inability to read the written speech. I was sick for the past two days, you can ask the doctor. But it is okay. the collector read the speech properly, Devi told a news agency.
