Andhra Pradesh Minister Botsa Satyanarayana has disagreed with actor Nani's views that lowering cinema ticket prices to the lowest levels conceivable is akin to insulting the audience. Earlier today, Nani stated that theatres would end up making lesser money than a Kirana store if the ticket prices in 'C' centres are as low as Rs 10, Rs 15, and Rs 20.

Speaking at a presser, the YCP leader said, "Everything that is sold in the country has an MRP written on it. It's inconsistent to argue that only cinema tickets shouldn't have an MRP. What kind of an argument is this?"
He further said, "Cinema ticket prices have to be accessible to the common man. How is it insulting to the audience?" This was in response to a question on actor Nani's comments.
"We won't keep mum if theatres keep on looting the audience. This government is pro-common man. We will always work for the common man. If you feel an injustice has been meted out to you, you can represent your views to the government," Botsa later said.
