How does one visualize a typical Kashmiri heroine in a Bollywood movie? A coy girl working errands for her family while roaming around with friendly sheep and goats. And yes, a mandatory song on board a 'shikara' is a must inclusion in the movie's script.

Right from the days of 'Kashmir Ki Kali' [Sharmila Tagore] to 'The Hero' [Preity Zinta] to 'Sheen' [Sheen], one has witnessed a stereotype portrayal of a Kashmiri girl.

But not anymore as Minnisha Lamba promises to change this image in this Friday's release 'Yahaan'! Yes, she has a face that works extremely well for the character of a Kashmiri girl she enacts but that doesn't stop her from being today's girl.

She is also seen wearing all kinds of outfits ranging from salwar-kameez to lehengas to jeans'n'tops hence being prevented from falling into a conventional on-screen trap!
