Millie Bobby Brown, in a recent interview expressed her readiness for the conclusion of Stranger Things. The hit series is set to film its fifth and final season after the strike is resolved.
Brown articulated her sentiments: When you're ready, you're like, 'All right, let's do this. Let's tackle this last senior year. Let's get out of here.' 'Stranger Things' takes up a lot of time to film and it's preventing me from creating stories that I'm passionate about. So I'm ready to say, 'Thank you, and goodbye.'
The actress acknowledged that her role as Eleven in Stranger Things has equipped her with tools to be a better actor. She emphasized, When it ends, I'm going to be able to still see these people. These remarks echo her previous statements to Women's Wear Daily when she expressed her readiness for the series to conclude.
One of her upcoming significant projects is The Electric State, a post-apocalyptic tentpole co-starring Chris Pratt, directed by the Russo Brothers.
In the interview, Brown also reflected on the backlash she faced as a 13-year-old during Stranger Things press tours, receiving criticism for speaking over her co-stars in interviews. Such treatment affected her, making her feel like she shouldn't talk and should stay silent.
Her experience with backlash as a young actor has inspired her to advocate for the protection of underage actors in the industry. Brown stressed that it's essential to refrain from diminishing and stunting the mental growth of young performers through harsh criticism and negative remarks.
Millie Bobby Brown recently ventured into the world of literature by publishing her debut novel, Nineteen Steps.
