Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra’s most awaited biopic ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ is two months away and the makers are ensuring that the film gets maximum attention. However the man on whom the film is based is the one who is most excited for the film’s release....

Former Olympic sprinter Milkha Singh seems to be putting a lot of effort into ensuring that the upcoming film on him is authentic and insightful.
The legendary Flying Singh (as he is fondly called) wants the makers to show the film as his life has been. As a matter of fact, in his earlier years, he was involved with friends to steal coal and even had a rough in with law.

According to our sources, when the script was getting finalized Milkha Singh was categorical that he is what he is today he is of his early days. After all he is a national hero and it takes a lot of honesty and faith to show reality as is.

Interestingly fans can now look forward to the film’s fist song "Zinda" that releases this week - which reflects the younger days of Milkha shows him stealing and having run in with law.

Said Milkha Singh, "I wanted Prasoon Joshi and Rakyesh to be as honest as possible. I became a national icon from every incident that I went through in my early childhood."

‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ is first film of a living legend and hence it affects a lot of people who have been involved. Starring Farhan Akhtar and Sonam Kapoor in lead, the film hits the screens on 12th July.
