Miley Cyrus took a reflective journey back to her early days in the Malibu house she once shared with former spouse Liam Hemsworth, shedding light on her music-making process.

Recently Miley posted a TikTok video as part of a series celebrating her latest song "Used to Be Young," Miley shared her experience of writing her debut album "Meet Miley Cyrus" with producer Matthew Wilder in the same Malibu home she would later share with Hemsworth. Unfortunately, this house fell victim to wildfires in 2018.

"The Meet Miley Cyrus record marked the beginning of my solo songwriting journey. I collaborated with a producer in Malibu who lived in a house in Ramirez Canyon. Little did I know, 15 years later, I would be living in that very house, which eventually suffered from a fire," Miley, the 33-year-old singer-songwriter, expressed.

Miley cherished the magic of that house, acknowledging its transformative impact on her life. The Malibu home was where she resided with Hemsworth until it was razed by the California wildfires in 2018. Although the couple initially planned to marry there, their nuptials took place at Miley's Nashville residence before their separation and eventual divorce in 2020.

Reflecting on the loss, Miley said, "The memories, pictures, and cherished things are gone, and that's something I'll never find happiness in. But this experience has reconnected me to my humanity."

In the same TikTok video, Miley explained the inspiration behind releasing Meet Miley Cyrus as a dual-disc album packaged with Hannah Montana 2, the soundtrack for the Disney Channel series' second season, in 2007. She aimed to help people connect her dual musical personas.

In a lighthearted twist, she quipped, "If you haven't seen the finale of Hannah Montana, sorry to blow it for you."
