India went on a nationwide lockdown since March 24, following the Coronavirus pandemic and one of the most affected sections of the society due to the crisis has been the migrant workers who were forced to stay in their work cities without food, jobs, money or essentials.
After the relaxations announced during the lockdown phase 3, sharmik trains were arranged for transporting stranded workers to natives. After actor Prakash Raj had helped accommodating migrant workers in his farmhouse and sent them home recently, another popular villain has helped migrants reach home.
Actor Sonu Sood had arranged buses for the migrant workers to help them reach Karnataka. He had arranged 10 buses and got permissions from the government of Maharashtra and Karnataka and is now planning to help migrant workers from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha and Jharkhand to reach their native places. Earlier, Sonu Sood had helped during the Coronavirus pandemic by giving his hotels for medical professionals to stay and had sent a truck with food for the daily wage workers and people in Malad Malwani slums.
