Several migrants and fishermen, who have been quarantined in Srikakulam, have complained of poor quality food being supplied to them by the administration. Going by a video clip put out by Times Now, the quality of cooked rice given to them is abysmal.
Following the media report by the TV channel, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu on Monday hit out at the YSRCP government. "The minimum responsibility of the Government is to serve quality food to people who have been quarantined. Visuals of fishermen and migrants from Srikakulam agitating against the authorities for being served with bad quality food is only one of many such incidents taking place across the AP," the former AP CM tweeted.
Earlier in the day, the quarantined people reportedly gheraoed the Mandal Revenue Officer over the issue. They asked him as to how they can eat such food.
