In a sad news, Microsoft co-founder and close childhood friend of Bill Gates Paul Allen passed away. Paul Allen was widely noted for his philanthropic activities in the fields of art, space travel and culture. Allen died on Monday and was 65 years old.
Reportedly, he suffered complications of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He had actually disclosed earlier from this month that he was suffering from the same. It should be also noted that Allen was one of the world’s wealthiest. As of Monday afternoon, he was at the 44th position on the Forbes’ list of Billionaires.
Many including Bill Gates, present Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella have conveyed their condolences. No doubt that Paul Allen’s loss is irreplaceable to the tech community.
