Microsoft and Facebook have completed laying the largest undersea cable named "Marea". The cable stretches across the Atlantic Ocean from Virginia State to Spain's Bibao. The distance it covers is 6600km (4000 miles), largest by any medium.
Weighing more than 10 million pounds, the cable is expected to have an enormous bandwidth capacity of 160 TB per second which will help data congestion and also strengthen the communication medium to blistering speed. The applications that rely on Video consume huge level of bandwidth and advanced Infrastructure is the need of the hour, Marea will help in a huge manner as mentioned by a joint statement from two software giants.
