Very soon, we`ll be seeing the pretty Mollywood actress Mia George in her maiden Tamil film, “Amara Kaviyam”, which is right now in its post-production phase. Upon asked to share her experience working in the Tamil Industry, after working in the Malayalam industry, Mia had some interesting thoughts. She says, “I received more care from the crew members than I am used to in Malayalam flicks. The shooting days, I find, are slightly lengthier here but the care one receives from the members in the crew is immense”.
“Amara Kaaviyam”, produced by actor Arya, stars Mia George and Arya`s brother Sathya in a romantic flick based in the 80s. Both play class XII students in this film. Acknowledging the challenges of doing a period film, Mia says, “As the film is based in the 1980s time period, we needed to change our attire and the locations we shot needed to be similar to the bygone era.” She also has some memorable experiences to share from during the shoots. Mia says, “I would never forget the day when I fell from a cycle ridden by Sathya during the shoot. And yes, despite my poor fluency in Tamil I could manage memorising a lengthy dialogue and repeat it without a single mistake.”
When asked whether Arya met her during the shoots, she said, “I met Arya only after the entire shoot. He congratulated me after the preview.” What`s next for Mia? She isn`t willing to sign any new films before Amara Kaaviyam releases. “I haven`t committed to any new projects because at present I`m concentrating on my MA Lit,” she tells us. It seems she has her priorities lined up as well.
