Mexico's Vanessa crowned as Miss World 2018

The new queen is here to floor you.  She is Vanessa Ponce de Leon from Mexico.  Aged 26, the beauty has been crowned as Miss World 2018.  India's Manushi Chhillar has passed on the coveted title to her at an event in Sanya, China.

The sprightly Vanessa is the first Mexican beauty queen to have won the title. She is the 68th Miss World.

“I can’t believe it, I really can’t believe it… And I think all the girls deserved it. I am proud to represent all of them. I will do as much as I can in the time I have got. Thank you so much, everyone,” Vanessa has said.

Nicolene Limsnukan, who hails from Thailand, is the first runner-up.
