The trailer for 'Meter' establishes the emotional hook of the film thoroughly. The hero plays a powerful cop who wants to avenge the injustice meted out to his father, a wronged cop.
Somewhere in the trailer, when a baddie sounds ominous when he tells the hero he is committing a grave mistake, our hero hits back sarcastically. He is heard saying, "What you are doing is not a puja!" Kiran Abbavaram's image makeover is vivid throughout the trailer.
The villain only doubles down whenever our hero asserts himself with aggression. "He is like a ball that boomerangs every time you hit it on the floor. Flatten him," he orders his henchmen. Action and more action follow.
Athulya Ravi of Kollywood is making a proud Tollywood debut with the film. Writer-director Ramesh Kaduri taps into slow-motion shots, punchlines and naughty touches to make the trailer a complete package.
The film comes with cinematography handled by Venkat C Dileep and Suresh Sarangam. Music is by Sai Kartheek. The dialogues are written by the director and Surya. With art direction by JV, 'Meter' is produced by Chiranjeevi (Cherry) and Hemalatha Pedamallu.
Mythri Movie Makers has decided to release 'Meter' on April 7.
