Mere Jeevan Saathi is one Suneel Darshan-Akshay Kumar movie that is taking forever to hit the marquee.

The movie first took a considerable amount of time in the making and for the last 6-8 months has been getting endlessly delayed with countless postponements happening due to numerous production hassles. Meanwhile Darshan's 'Barsaat' and 'Dosti' too were made and got released appropriately.

When all hopes seemed to have been lost around the release of the movie, suddenly one saw the promos on air again citing the release date to be 26th January. The confidence and the renewed vigor with which this Karisma Kapoor comeback vehicle was launched [with entire focus on the lady in the promos], it seemed that finally the movie would see the light of the day.

But as things stand today, there are indications that the movie would be further postponed by a week. And the reason for this is Aamir Khan's 'Rang De Basanti' that has now been slated for a 25th January release after getting postponed for a week. With 'Aksar' and 'Fight Club' [both flicks being hot in the distribution circles] already confirmed for the same weekend, it would certainly not make much sense for MJS to release alongside three other flicks.

It seems the jinx with the movie's release would have to continue for a few more days.
