The most hated villain of Bollywood, Shakti Kapoor will be seen as a comic villain in the yet to be released film, 'Mere Genie Uncle'. His role of Junior Jaffar is a harmless, dumb and idiotic terrorist with ambitions of becoming a Bollywood hero.
In the movie one would see him struggling to achieve his ambition and forget the heinous crime that he's supposed to commit.
Director Ashish Bhavsar asks, "How many comic villains do we have in India? Shakti da comes to my mind instantly for this type of a role and he is an exception as he has acted in both genres with aplomb. Also, I personally feel that he has a flair for comedy and that's why he was apt for this role."
Not surprisingly when Ashish Bhavsar approached actors during the casting stage, everyone strongly recommended Shakti Kapoor's name. As they say, you are destined to perform the roles in your life, looks like it has turned out to be true for Crime Master Gogo.
'Mere Genie Uncle' 3D is a fun filled laugh riot with visual extravaganza. This film in the 3D kiddie flick genre comes after the humongous success of movies like 'Chota Chetan' and 'Spy Kids'. 'Mere Genie Uncle' features Tiku Talsania, Shakti Kapoor, Anuj Sikri, Ehsaan Qureshi, Navina Bole and Mushtaq Khan and is written and directed by Ashish Bhavsar Produce by Raju Gada, Ashish Bhavsar and Paresh Mehta.
'Mere Genie Uncle' will release in 3D screens on 5th June 2015.
