The past few days has seen the Me Too movement in India gaining momentum as more women have come out accusing hitherto respected celebrities of sexual abuse and the trauma they have sufferred due to that. The subject has been debated so much on social media that the Indian government has taken immediate steps as Menaka Gandhi the Minister for Women and Children Development has released a statement.
A new committee will be set up with seniors from judicial and legal fields to probe into the sexual assault accused. Menaka Gandhi has stated "“I believe in all of them. I believe in the pain and trauma behind every single complainant. I am proposing to set up a committee with senior judicial and legal persons as members to look into all issues emanating from the #MeToo campaign,”
Chinmayi who pioneered the movement in South India has reacted with "This Is Huge".
