Mem Famous Movie Review

Mem Famous is a film that has caught the imagination of one and all. The film has hit the screens today and has been directed by Sumanth Prabhas.

Story:

The film is set in a small town and is about three friends played by Sumanth Prabhas, Mani Aegurla, and Mourya. These good for nothing men decide to become famous by launching a tent house. The rest of the story is about the coming of age of these kids and what obstacles they faced in their small journey.

Analysis:

Mem Famous is a small film with a big heart. The film has all new faces who dream big in life. What attracts you in the film is the earthy emotions which are quite relatable. We can connect to the characters right away as they look one among us.

Mem Famous Movie Review

Sumanth Prabhas acted and directed this film and he is wonderful. More than his performance, it is his hold on the craft which attracts you in the film. The way he showcased a simple story in a new age way looked good for the most part in the first half.

But the film has its share of issues in the second half. Things get bogged down and are very slow during this part. The way the gang decides to make it big through YouTube looks way too routine. Also, the emotions look artificial during this time.

The fun quotient in the film is neat in a few places but it goes overboard in a few scenes. The camera work is top notch and music is also decent. The BGM is neat but the editing was just about okay. Mem Famous is a coming of age story with some well crafted moments which work to an extent.

Mem Famous Movie Review

Verdict:

On the whole, Mem Famous is a simple village story with routine storyline. The characters are relatable but the proceedings look outdated in a few scenes. All those who like youthful stories with some fun can give this film a shot but there is nothing special that has been showcased here.

Rating: 2.75 / 5.0
