After a big gap following the demise of musical maestro Raveendran, another debut music director has been shown the path of glory with his first tunes. What we are talking about is the music of ‘Pattinte Palazhi’, the new film album released a couple of weeks ago. The songs of the movie have that Raveendran's touch and is opined to be some of the best heard in recent times in Mollywood. Set to music by Dr. Suresh Manimala, a corporate officer turned musician, the album features songs by Hariharan, K S Chitra, Shwetha, Vijay Yesudas and Aparna. The seven song album written by ONV Kurup is already a hit with class audience.

The shoot for the movie directed by Rajeev Anchal has already started at Mysore. Featuring Meera Jasmine as a girl whose world is filled with music, the movie also have in its cast Manoj K Jayan, Revathy, Nedumudi Venu and Jagathy Sreekumar. Dr A K Pillai produces ‘Pattinte Palazhi’ which is planned to grace the theatres as a mid summer release.
