After two successive failures like 'Sainikudu' and 'Athidhi', Maheshbabu agreed to play hero under the direction of Trivikram Srinivas, who gave him a hit like 'Athadu'.

Being produced by Singanamala Ramesh, 'Varudu' is the title under consideration for the movie. The film was formally launched with puja activities recently and is ready to start rolling very soon.

After this film, Maheshbabu is most likely to play hero under the direction of Meher Ramesh.

The director proved his mettle with 'Kantri' with NT Rama Rao as hero. There is a point to mention here that Meher Ramesh acted as a co-star to Maheshbabu in 'Bobby'.
