Meghna, daughter of actor-parents Sundarraj and Premila, is making waves in Tamil cinema even before her maiden film 'Krishnaleelai' could hit the screens.

Meghna has been roped in to play the lead role in 'Nandha Nandhitha', directed by Ram Shiva. The movie has story by Ajay Kumar. The shooting for the movie commenced in January and plans are on to release it this April.

"When Ram Shiva approached me with this plum role, I felt it had excellent scope to perform and I immediately agreed to do it," says Meghna and adds: "Both 'Krishnaleelai' and 'Nandha Nandhitha' would enable me to prove myself."

According to Ram Shiva, "The movie is a musical entertainer with lyrics by Vaali, Kabilan and Viveka. The tunes are composed by Ezhil, a name to reckon with in Kannada film industry. Meghna has played her part well. She oozes glamour and does perform well."
