Actress Meghna Naidu has been advised bed rest for two weeks after she underwent a cyst removal surgery.

Meghna underwent surgery on Friday.

"I had a cyst on my back because of a blackhead which I didn't know. Slowly it grew into a big ball. It happened because I was careless for the last one year when I was told that there is a lump on my back and I should get it checked. I never did," Meghna said in a statement.

"Recently it started hurting and then I got it checked. The doctor said it is infected and has to be surgically removed as soon as possible. So, now I have few stitches on my back and have been advised bed rest for two weeks," she added.

Meghna is best known for her roles in southern and Bollywood films like "Prudhvi Narayana", "Katthegalu Saar Katthegalu", "Mashooka" and "Vaitheeswaran".

Besides films, Meghna has also made a name for herself on the small screen. She was last seen on the popular Colors show "Sasural Simar Ka".
