Meghan Markle Reveals Mental Health Struggles in Interview with Prince Harry

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry talked about their new Parents' Network program in a recent CBS interview; Markle revealed she still has more to say about her battles with suicide ideation.
Part of the healing process is being open about any level of pain or trauma you have gone through, Markle remarked. I aim to help others from feeling the same way or planning similarly, even though my experience hasn't truly scratched the surface. Also, everyone should be believed.
In a 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Markle first shared publicly about her suicidal worries. She said in the interview that she felt ashamed about sharing her emotions with her family and husband.
Given how much grief Harry has endured, I felt extremely guilty to tell him at the moment and own it. But I knew I would act on those ideas if I remained silent. I simply wanted to stop living.
Markle feels more at ease talking about her struggle three years later now. She believes her candor will help others going through similar ideas and inspire them to get treatment even if it is still a delicate subject.
It's worth it if my voice can save someone or inspire others to really check in on their loved ones, not just assume everything is okay based on appearances, Markle said. I'll take a hit for that.
