Megham

Young actor Raghunath, brother of hotshot star Ravi Teja, should be counting on this `anger-driven' film  to give him the much-needed break after debuting with the poorly made `Sorry.. Naaku Pellaiyindi'.

`Megham' tells a tale of a angry young man who realizes the futility of anger after falling in love, says Raghu who is paired opposite new girls Swetha and Tanuroy. Besides action it will also have a heart-touching love story, adds the actor.

Director Sunil Kumar Reddy who made the silent movie, `Nisabdam', with two dumb characters and a kids' flick, `Hero', is now making a commercial movie with a complex theme.

It showcases the futility of anger and how love can disperse clouds of anger (`megham') and bring peace to a vengeful youngster,  says Reddy, who claims to avoid verbosity and rely on visuals to drive home his point.

He adds: It is my first test in commercial format and I think the film has the fusion of comedy and songs to make it a complete entertainer. He feels that Telugu audiences are yet to be prepared for a heavy melodrama bereft of conventional elements.

Producer Sarita was impressed with Reddy's narration and gave him a free hand to choose the right artistes and technicians to make a sure-fire winner. Despite Reddy's meticulous planning, we spent more than we anticipated, but no regrets since we are very confident about our film, says the debutant producer who believes in good cinema.

Composer Radhakrishna has given us five soulful tunes and the success of the audio has enhanced our confidence, adds Sarita.

The film is being released on June 5, a week ahead of highly rated NTR Jr's `Samba'. The aim is to cash in on summer holiday crowds and attract the youth and masses in a big way.
