On Sunday, Megastar Mammootty has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19. The veteran has been tested positive on the set of his much-hyped upcoming movie CBI -5, directed by K Madhu and written by S N Swami. The superstar has reportedly experienced a few symptoms, including a mild cold and sore throat on Saturday evening. After he took a Covid test, the results came out positive. Sources close to the actor say that the 70-year-old actor has no other complications and is in good health. He is currently in home isolation.
As you know, ‘CBI5’ is one of the most awaited upcoming films of Mammootty. Director K Madhu, actor Mammootty, and writer SN Swamy, are reuniting for the fifth time after their previous successful installments of the franchise - ‘Oru CBI Diary Kurippu’, ‘Jagratha’, ‘Sethurama Iyer CBI’, and, ‘Nerariyan CBI’. The fifth part of the CBI franchise stars Mammootty, Mukesh, and Jagathy Sreekumar, reprising their roles as Central Bureau of Investigation officer Sethurama Iyer, associate officers Chacko and Vikram, respectively. It is learned that the shooting of the movie has been temporarily suspended after the superstars turned positive for the virus. More details are awaited!
