It's learned that plans are underway to build a hospital for the benefit of workers belonging to the 24 crafts in the Telugu film industry. Megastar Chiranjeevi is scouting for a suitable location somewhere in Film Nagar/Jubilee Hills for the same. These localities are convenient for those working in the film industry.
The 'Sye Raa' actor is planning to build the hospital in such a way that diagnosis or treatment for most illnesses is readily available for free or at subsidized costs. Modalities will be worked out later. A specialist will visit the hospital on a regular basis. The hospital will also cater to film journalists and their families.
Recently, the 'Acharya' actor got Yoda Diagnostics to offer discounts to the tune of 50% for a lifetime for the benefit of cine workers and journalists by working with his fan Sudhakar Kancharla.
When the coronavirus pandemic started in 2020, Chiru went out of his way to ensure the supply of essentials to hundreds of families of cine workers. During the second wave, he set up oxygen plants at a personal cost in the districts in the Telugu States. Chiru has also been financing some welfare activities meant for Tollywood film journalists.
