October 2nd Gandhi Jayanthi is the date for the release of the historical multistarrer 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy' and Megastar Chiranjeevi who is playing the lead role has revealed much interesting information about the film in a pre-release interview.

Chiru plays 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy' the first freedom fighter against the British role and he has shared that during that time a Tamil ruler Raaja Paandi took his troops to Andhra to participate in the war. When director Surendar Reddy was in discussion it was the legendary star who suggested Vijay Sethupathi's name and the first thing he was told was that the star was very busy in Tamil.

However Chiranjeevi had persisted and personally called VJS and asked him if he could do the role and the Tamil hero immediately had given his nod adding that it is his honour to share the screen with him. Chiru has heaped praise on Vijay Sethupathi stating that he is humility personified and has now become like a younger brother to him. The senior superstar has also asserted that next to Kamal Haasan it is the Makkal Selvan who is the most versatile actor in Tamil cinema.
