Mega Star Chiranjeevi has taken strong exception to the recent comments made by Telangana Minister Konda Surekha. In a controversial statement aimed at political rival K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), son of former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), Surekha shocked many by dragging actor Naga Chaitanya and his ex-wife Samantha into the discourse, accusing KTR of being involved in their divorce. Her remarks sparked outrage, particularly within the film industry.
Reacting to the uproar, Chiranjeevi expressed his deep displeasure over the Minister’s comments. He shared his thoughts, saying, "I am deeply pained by the disgraceful remarks made by an honourable woman minister. It is a matter of shame that celebrities and members of the film fraternity are often soft targets simply because they provide instant reach and attention. As an industry, we stand united in opposing such vicious verbal assaults on our members."

It is a shame that celebs and members of film fraternity become soft targets as they provide instant reach and attention. We as Film Industry stand united in opposing such vicious verbal…
He added, "Dragging unconnected people into a political slugfest, especially by making baseless and distasteful allegations, is not only uncalled for but also deeply damaging. Politicians should rise above petty political gains and refrain from lowering the discourse to this extent. We elect our leaders to uplift society, not to contaminate it with such offensive and irresponsible behavior. I sincerely hope that the concerned parties will realize their mistake and retract these malicious remarks at the earliest. #FilmIndustryWillNotTolerate."
Chiranjeevi's response has gone viral, with the hashtag #FilmIndustryWillNotTolerate gaining traction across social media. More celebrities are expected to follow suit in condemning the insensitive comments made by Konda Surekha. The industry has made it clear that it will not tolerate the use of personal attacks on its members as a means to score political points.
Now all eyes are on how the Congress party, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy and Congress top brass including national leaders like Rahul Gandhi will react to the entire incident.
