Days after megastar Chiranjeevi openly declared his support for powerstar Pawan Kalyan in the Lok Sabha elections, the veteran actor took to the polling booth in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, accompanied by his family, to cast his vote.
Pawan Kalyan, representing his party Jana Sena, is set to contest from the Pithapuram Assembly constituency in the upcoming elections. With Andhra Pradesh residents gearing up for polling day on May 13, Chiranjeevi's public endorsement of his younger brother on May 7 reverberated across the political landscape. In a video message, Chiranjeevi highlighted Pawan Kalyan's commitment to public service, emphasizing the importance of voter participation.
After fulfilling his own civic duty by casting his vote, Chiranjeevi engaged with the press, urging his fans and especially the youth to exercise their voting rights. Encouraging the younger generation, he stressed the significance of voting, asserting, "I do request them (young voters) to make use of your power of vote. Voting is our right."
As he made his way to his vehicle, a journalist inquired about Pawan Kalyan's electoral journey. Chiranjeevi responded warmly, expressing his heartfelt wishes, saying, "My best wishes to him."
Meanwhile, Jana Sena, in alliance with NDA and TDP (Telugu Desam Party), is fielding candidates in two Lok Sabha seats and 21 Assembly seats, adding to the anticipation surrounding the elections.
