The Ministry of Home Affairs has revealed the distinguished recipients of the Padma Awards, the nation's highest civilian honors, with 132 luminaries across diverse fields being acknowledged for their exemplary contributions. The honorees comprise five Padma Vibhushan, 17 Padma Bhushan, and 110 Padma Shri awardees. Noteworthy figures among the Padma Vibhushan recipients include the esteemed actress Vyjayanthimala Bali, the iconic Chiranjeevi, and the Vice President, M Venkaiah Naidu.

The late Bindeshwar Pathak, founder of Sulabh International, posthumously received the Padma Vibhushan in recognition of his outstanding contributions to social work. In the realm of art, Padma Bhushan accolades were conferred upon Bollywood luminary Mithun Chakraborty and versatile singer Usha Uthup. Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and veteran actress Vyjayanthimala were honored with the Padma Vibhushan for their notable contributions to public affairs and art, respectively.

Upon learning about being honored with the Padma Vibhushan, megastar Chiranjeevi expressed his sentiments through a heartfelt post. He conveyed, "The moment I learned about being conferred the Padma Vibhushan award, I am truly at a loss for words. I am overjoyed to receive the second-highest civilian award, Padma Vibhushan. My heartfelt gratitude to all the people and fans who have supported me and brought me to this stage. I am indebted, and I cannot repay the love and affection you have showered upon me. In my 45 years in the film industry, I have strived to entertain you to the fullest, going to any extent. In real life, I am committed to assisting the poor and needy, and doing my best for society. However, what I am doing is just a drop in the ocean of love that you are showering on me. This truth always reminds me to be responsible and tread carefully all the time. I express my thanks to the Indian Government and PM Modi for selecting me for this award and deciding to honor me with the prestigious Padma Vibhushan."
