The much-awaited audio of Kabali was released on the hands of Mega hero Varun Tej in Hyderabad. The teaser was released by Nani, while T Subbirami Reddy released the banner logo (Shanmukha Films).
Speaking on the occasion, Varun Tej said, "Pedda Nanna (Chiranjeevi) and Rajinikanth garu are very good friends. I had the opportunity to meet Rajinikanth garu when I was to Switzerland during the shoot of Indra. The Superstar was there for the shoot of Baba. I was a child and when I met him, I understood what a simple person he is. I am eagerly waiting for Kabali. He is donning this kind of a role many years after Basha."
Natural Star Nani revealed that as a big fan of Rajini, he has tried to imitate him many times. "Shankar is my favourite director, but it is for Kabali that I am waiting more. It's because I want to see Rajinikanth garu as a Basha rather than as a Robot. As his big fan, I have tried to imitate his acting style in the past."
T Subbirami Reddy, the industrialist-politician said, "Rajinikanth is a dear friend of mine. He reprised Amitabh Bacchan's role in the remake of Jeevana Poratam. He is the Kohinoor Diamond of Indian cinema. I am sure Kabali will be a huge hit."
Paruchuri Gopalakrishna said, "If all of the personality in the world is on one side and that of Rajinikanth garu is on the other side, the latter will weigh more. Such is the greatness of his personality. He had asked us (Paruchuri Brothers) to write for the Telugu version of Baba, but we gently declined the offer telling him that we can't write keeping in view the needs of lip sync."
Director Pa. Ranjith was brief. He said, "There are huge expectations from the film. I hope I have made the film in such a way that it reaches the audience's expectations."
Music Director Santosh Narayanan said, "We are very happy looking at the response to the film in Telugu. I am eager to work even in Telugu."
Producer K Praveen Kumar said, "When I entered film distribution, I took up Kabali on the advice of my friend KP Chowdhary."
KP Chowdhary said, "Mohan Babu garu and Allu Aravind garu called up Kalaipuli S Thanu (the Tamil version's producer) and expressed their support for the film. We thank them whole-heartedly."
