On Wednesday, a meeting was held between the Movie Artists Association's leadership and the Active Producers Guild. On the occasion, Manchu Vishnu, Raghu Babu, Shiva Balaji and Jeevitha Rajasekhar were present from the MAA. The Guild was represented by Dil Raju, Naveen Yerneni of Mythri Movie Makers, Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments, Sarath Marrar, Bapineedu and Vivek Kuchibotla.

MAA proposed that only its members have to be roped in for movies. If non-MAA members from other film industries are roped in, they have to be inducted into the Association.

On the occasion, Vishnu Manchu, who won the MAA President elections last year, handed over a list of senior artists belonging to the MAA to the Guild.

The Guild shared their concerns with the MAA for further deliberation. The two bodies have decided to go ahead on a consensual and conciliatory track.

There has been a strike in Tollywood. The filming of all straight Telugu movies has been suspended since August 1.
