'Gangs of Wasseypur' writer-actor Zeishan Quadri who has turned director with Meeruthiya Gangsters reveals that his GOW co-actor Jaideep Ahlawat was zeroed in for his directorial debut even before Jaideep himself knew about it.

Talking about casting the actor, Zeishan says, "Although I did not share screen space with Jaideep in Gangs of Wasseypur, I was very impressed with his performance. And when I wrote Meeruthiya, somewhere I knew that Jaideep would be the perfect fit for the role of Nikhil. I actually didn`t even ask him, just told him that he will be doing Meeruthiya and Jaideep didn`t ask any questions either. So, when we started, he was among the first ones on board."

Prateek Group presents 'Meeruthiya Gangsters,' written and directed by Zeishan Quadri, the writer of 'Gangs Of Wasseypur', produced by PrateekEntertainment, Shoeb Ahmed in association with Friday to Friday Entertainers. The film is slated to release on 18th September 2015.
