Meera Jasmine was in the news last week for a illegal visit to a temple where non hindus were not allowed.

The actress has closed the Pandora's box by paying the temple fine, ordered by the authorities of the famous Raja Rajeswari temple at Thaliparamba, for the conduction of the purification rites.

Meera Jasmine, a Christian had offered prayers and special pooja at the temple on Thursday night around 8.30 pm just before the temple was closed. She was then seen with a producer who made all arrangements and declared before the temple ward that the actress has converted to Hinduism. Now she has stated that she has not converted to Hinduism and believes that she does not find anything wrong in worshipping all Gods and visiting temples of importance.

Many Hindu organizations and temple authorities had called for the action against the illegal entry of the actress. This led to the conduction of purification rites in the temple and the authorities imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 for her deed.

The actress who paid the sum immediately without a word has thus avoided a more outrageous displays on the issue.
