As reported by us earlier actress Meera Mithun was arrested in Kerala by the police and brought to Chennai this morning. She had alleged that the cops tortured her and starved her for twenty-four hours. There were also reports that she refused to cooperate with the inquiries.

It is said that after she was advised of the gravity of the case the 'Bigg Boss 3' contestant sobered up and went through the formalities including the COVID 19 test. She was later produced before the Saidapet Court number 17 judge Krishnan in his house.

The judge ordered that Meera Mithun be taken into police custody till August 27th. The controversial actress got into the current mess after she made derogatory statements about scheduled caste communities. She also made hate speeches against the creative professionals in the cine field belonging to the backward classes.
