It was in the year 2013 that Meera Jasmine was seen in a Telugu film. Titled 'Moksha', that was a horror film.
After nearly 10 years, the 'Gudumba Shankar' actress is now back to doing a Telugu film. Zee Studios and Kiran Korrapati Creative Works have teamed up for a Telugu-Tamil bilingual titled 'Vimanam'. The 'Bhadra' actress will headline it.
An announcement regarding the project was made official today, marking her birthday. It seems the actress will be seen in a performance-oriented and semi-glamorous role in this one.
"She’s back people! Wishing the ever-charming Meera Jasmine a very happy birthday. After a decade she will grace our screens with her presence in #Vimanam. Our Next Telugu - Tamil bilingual film in association with Zee Studios. And we know she will be better than ever (sic)," the makers tweeted.
'Maharadhi', 'Raraju', 'Maa Ayana Chanti Pilladu', 'Gorintaku', and 'Yamagola Malli Modalayindi' are among the Telugu movies in which Meera acted. For the 2003 Malayalam movie 'Padam Onnu: Oru Vilapam', Meera won the prestigious National Film Award for Best Actress.
