On the occasion of Vishu, veteran director Sathyan Anthikad made an exciting announcement. The director announced his next project that will bring together actors Meera Jasmine and Jayaram in the lead roles. Scripted by Dr. Iqbal Kuttipuram, the movie will also have Devika Sanjay, who played Teenamol in Njan Prakashan, as part of the film. Sathyan Anthikad also mentioned that the shooting of the film will begin in mid-July after the pandemic subsides. The director himself took to Facebook to share the news.
The yet-to-be-titled film will thus mark Meera Jasmine’s return to the big screen in a full-fledged role after a gap of five years. Though Meera Jasmine made a cameo appearance in the 2018 film ‘Poomaram’, it has been five long years since the diva has done a full-length role. She was last seen in the 2016 film, Pathu Kalpanakal. Meanwhile, the film sees Jayaram reuniting with Anthikad after an 11-year-gap.
The upcoming film will also feature the director’s other frequent collaborators like Innocent, Sreenivasan, and Siddique. Bankrolled by Central Pictures, who earlier produced the 2013 romantic comedy Oru Indian Pranayakadha, the movie's cinematography is by S Kumar and music is by Vishnu Vijay.
