Meera Jasmine is facing a ban in her native state, though she had several other projects on hand in Telugu and Tamil languages.

This National Best Actress is busy in several south Indian language films including 'Gorintaku', 'Maa Aayana Chantipilladu' and 'Okati Naalugu' in Telugu.

There was a row between the heroine and the Malayalam Film Association, which is planning to bring out a film called 'Twenty-20' on a massive scale. The project was aimed at collecting donation for the welfare of the association.

Several top stars of the Malayalam film industry are playing roles in the film. When contacted, Meera Jasmine pleaded her inability to adjust dates as she was busy with Telugu films.

Irked over her reply, the Malayalam Film Association imposed a ban on Meera Jasmine in Malayalam films. One had to wait and watch how far, the ban would affect Meera Jasmine's career.
