Close on the Kannada actress Jayamala's entry to the sanctum sanctorum of Sabarimala Ayyappan temple creating a major controversy all across the country, the news of Meera Jasmine, a Christian by faith, visiting Rajarajeswari temple in Taliparamba near Kannur a year ago has become a major highlight.
When entry of non-Hindus is prohibited in temples in Kerala, Meera Jasmine venturing to the temple to perform some special poojas has become a big issue.
After the news spread, Meera Jasmine has sent an apology to the temple authorities and urged them not to make it a big issue.
The actress had even paid a sum as fine to the temple authorities for her act.
The actress had said that she doesn't believe in any religion and has been visiting all places of worship like churches and temples.
