It was not with any apprehension that Blessy announced the lead cast of his next film. For his next venture with Dileep in the lead, planned to be shot in and around Calcutta. Meera Jasmine will appear in the female lead. Actually Meera made her debut into filmdom in Soothradharan opposite Dileep.

Then ace director Kamal has cast the duo together in two of his films. The first Gramaphone which came much later than the actual release plans did not make any impact in the box office. The second film was Perumazhakaalam which won many awards even in the national level. The film was much praised by the critics.

Every eye is on Blessy to find whether he can alter the previous fate of the films with Dileep and Meera in the lead.
