At the inaugural of ‘Cinema Santhe’ on last Saturday at Kanteerava Studio, the sitting President Meenakshi Sangram says a new cinema institute would be set up at the tip of Karnataka Bidar district from government of Karnataka.

Meenakshi Sangram was speaking at Cinema Sooru organized ‘Cinema Santhe’ first of its kind in Kannada filmdom. 10 acres of land has been identified and it will be transferred to Kanteerava studio management. Setting up a cinema institute at Bidar is on the occasion of 50 years of Kanteerava Studio.

As the celebration procedures are in progress on the inauguration day this institute of Cinema would be inaugurated in Bidar.

Concentrating everything in Bengaluru surroundings is not the right thing to happen. Uttar Karnataka is land of art, culture, festival, exhibitions etc. The celebration set to only capital city should be spread to other parts felt Meenakshi Sangram.

KFCC Presidnet Sa Ra Govindu was present on this occasion. Govindu felt the necessity of proper training to film makers as most of the films are crushing in the box office.

Cine Sooru managing director Anupama Sharadi, Sri Kanteerava studio director Shankarappa, Kumar Ishwar, director of Cine Sooru were present on this occasion.
