As reported earlier, the shoot of Mohanlal-Meena starrer 'Drishyam 2' commenced a few day ago strictly following COVID-19 protocol. While Mohanlal had already started shooting his portions for the movie, the latest is that Meena too is joining the set.

Amid the growing concerns of COVID-19, the actress set off to Kochi from Chennai last day wearing a PPE kit and face shield. Sharing a few pictures of herself in the PPE dress, Meena penned a heartfelt note on how 'uncomfortable' and difficult it is to wear it. It may be remembered that all the cast and crew member of the movie including Mohanlal had undergone COVID test before joining the shooting.

"Though I look like traveling to space, I feel like going to war. Traveling after 7 months.... Surprised to see the airport so calm and quiet deserted. Even more surprised to see not many were dressed like me ?? I must say it was the most uncomfortable outfit. Was so hot and stuffy,makes you sweat even when the weather is cool and air con on. Can't even wipe your face, especially with the gloves ?? Hats off to all the health workers who live in this PPE outfit day in and day out. In spite of so much discomfort they still understand our pain and take care of us all the time. My respect for them has magnified ???? Thank you for your selfless effort to humankind.," wrote Meena.

'Drishyam 2' is the sequel of the crime thriller ‘Drishyam’ helmed by Jeethu Joseph. While Mohanlal will be reprising his character as Georgekutty, the actress will be reprising Rani in the movie. Hansiba, Esther, Siddique, Asha Sharath and Kalabhavan Shajon are also returning in the sequel.

Produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, the movie also has a few new additions to the cast such as Murali Gopy, Ganesh Kumar, Anjali Nair and Sai Kumar.
