'Mee Sreyobhilasi' in IFFI

International Film Festival of India 2008 to be held in December in Goa has short-listed the films to be screened among which is Mee Sreyobhilasi.

The Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting announced the India Panorama which is set to be screened at the 39th International Film Festival of India that is composed of 25 recommends in the feature film category and 20 others in the non-feature film category.

First time director Eeshwar’s Mee Sreyobhilasi starring Rajendra Prasad holds the honor of being the only Telugu movie that has been selected. Recipient of 54th National Film Award for best non-feature film Bishar Blues (Bengali) and best feature film Pulijanmam (Malayalam) made their entry with unanimous voting.

Based on the report submitted by the jury to the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Anand Sharma, Yarwing, a film in Kokborok language of Tripura, is being screened as the inaugural film in the IFFI. Kanchivaram (Tamil) and Mahasatta (Marathi) has been voted to be screened in the contest section of the International Film Festival.
